- 400g elbow macaroni
- 60g unsalted butter
- 2–3 garlic cloves, grated
- 60g all-purpose flour
- 2 cups full-fat milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- ¼–½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon mixed herbs or oregano
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup red cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook the elbow macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In another pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add grated garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in flour until well combined.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Return to heat and stir in heavy cream along with salt, paprika, onion powder, mixed herbs, and mustard if using.
