  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3½ tbsp honey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1¼ tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup shelled salted pistachios

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together browned butter, brown sugar, and honey until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and egg yolk; mix until fully combined.
  5. Fold in the flour and 1 teaspoon of flaky sea salt until just incorporated.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle chopped pistachios on top along with remaining sea salt.
  7. Bake for 23–25 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set.
  8. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
