  • 2 cups chopped broccoli
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 (6-ounce) cans tuna, drained
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook egg noodles until almost al dente; add chopped broccoli for the last two minutes.
  3. Drain pasta and broccoli in a colander.
  4. Sauté mushrooms in a frying pan until browned; set aside.
  5. In the same pot, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent.
  6. Return drained pasta and broccoli to the pot; mix in sautéed mushrooms, tuna, cream of mushroom soup, cheese, milk, and cream. Season to taste.
  7. Transfer mixture to an oven-proof dish and top with crushed potato chips.
  8. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
