Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by soaking a stale bread roll in milk until it's softened, about 5 minutes. If using sliced bread, remove the crusts, tear it into pieces, and let it absorb the milk.
- Once the bread is soaked, gently squeeze out the excess milk and place the softened bread into a large mixing bowl. Add the ground meat, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, mustard, paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and the egg to the bowl.
- Using your hands, thoroughly mix the ingredients until everything is evenly combined.
- Once mixed, form the meat mixture into medium-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick. Set the shaped patties on a plate.
- In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat until it shimmers, about 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully add the patties to the hot frying pan. Fry each side for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Once cooked, transfer the patties onto a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve warm with sauerkraut, potato salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
Ensure patties are of uniform thickness for even cooking. Don’t overcrowd the frying pan to maintain the oil temperature and achieve a golden brown finish.
