Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by steaming or blanching the fresh broccoli florets in boiling water for about 3-4 minutes until they are crisp-tender. Afterward, drain them well and let them cool completely.
  2. Once the broccoli is cool, finely chop it with a sharp knife while being careful not to puree it.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, cheese, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until sticky.
  4. Scoop around a tablespoon of the sticky mixture and form it into compact balls or small patties. Optionally roll in additional breadcrumbs.
  5. To cook your bites, fry them in medium heat oil for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, or bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, let them cool slightly and serve warm with dipping sauces.
