  1. Step 1: Hard Boil Eggs - Place fresh eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 12 minutes.
  2. Step 2: Cool & Peel - Transfer eggs to ice water for 5 minutes, crack shells, peel, and slice in half. Transfer yolks to a mixing bowl.
  3. Step 3: Prepare Filling - Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, smoked paprika, cayenne, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and optional sugar to yolks. Mash until creamy, chill for 30 minutes.
