  1. Begin by patting the boneless, skinless chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the thighs lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add cooking oil.
  4. Sear the chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and a splash of water.
