Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses along with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Scoop portions of the cheese mixture and shape them into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Aim for around 12 to 15 bites.
  4. Set up your coating station with flour in one bowl, a whisked egg in another, and Panko breadcrumbs in the third.
  5. Coat each ball in flour, dip in the egg, and then roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  6. Fry the bites in hot oil for about 3–4 minutes until golden brown, or bake for 12–15 minutes on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Drain fried bites on paper towels and serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite sauce.
