- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses along with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Scoop portions of the cheese mixture and shape them into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Aim for around 12 to 15 bites.
- Set up your coating station with flour in one bowl, a whisked egg in another, and Panko breadcrumbs in the third.
- Coat each ball in flour, dip in the egg, and then roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Fry the bites in hot oil for about 3–4 minutes until golden brown, or bake for 12–15 minutes on a greased baking sheet.
- Drain fried bites on paper towels and serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite sauce.
