Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil. Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic, sautéing for about 5-7 minutes until the onions become translucent.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, fresh breadcrumbs, milk, beaten eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and the sautéed onion and garlic mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to a lightly greased baking dish and shape it into a loaf, smoothing the top and sides.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the tomato ketchup, light brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and English mustard until smooth.
  6. Spread the prepared glaze evenly over the top and sides of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-75 minutes or until the center reaches an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
