Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil salted water and cook potato gnocchi until they float, about 3-4 minutes. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add marinara sauce, chopped basil, and grated Parmesan; stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Turn off heat, add heavy cream, reserved pasta water, and cooked gnocchi; stir until coated.
  5. Top with mozzarella balls and extra Parmesan. Broil on high for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with basil, and serve immediately.
