Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz Bowtie Pasta Can substitute with rigatoni or penne.
For the Meat
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can use ground turkey or chicken.
For the Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp Butter Use unsalted for better salt control.
  • 5-6 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic preferred.
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped Shallots can be substituted.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning Oregano or basil can work as substitutes.
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 3 cups Beef Broth Chicken or vegetable broth can be substituted.
  • 3/4 cup Half and Half Whole milk or heavy cream can be alternatives.
For the Finish
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated Pecorino Romano or Grana Padano can be used.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Adjust as needed.
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Adjust to liking.
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional for heat.
  • 1-2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, finely chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for another minute.
  4. Add butter and let melt, then pour in beef broth and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly reduced.
  5. Cook bowtie pasta in a separate pot according to package instructions; aim for al dente, around 8-10 minutes.
  6. Return to skillet, stir in half and half and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Add the drained pasta into the sauce and toss until fully coated.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan and ensure to reserve some pasta water before draining to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
