Cooking Steps
  1. Rinse the long-grain white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Set aside to drain.
  2. Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and chicken broth.
  4. Pour the rinsed rice into the crockpot, spread evenly, and pour the garlic butter sauce over the rice.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 2½ to 3 hours until rice is fluffy.
  6. Place the seasoned shrimp over the rice, cover, and cook on LOW for an additional 20-25 minutes.
  7. Gently stir shrimp into the rice and add frozen peas and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
