Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowls
  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • spatula
  • Piping bags or spoons

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by lining a baking tray with parchment paper, ensuring it's flat and smooth. This will create a non-stick surface for your chocolate bark.
  2. Place semi-sweet chocolate morsels in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each session until chocolate is melted and smooth, usually taking about 1.5 to 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the melted semi-sweet chocolate onto the prepared tray, gently spreading it into an even layer with a spatula. Let it set at room temperature, or refrigerate for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, add the white chocolate morsels and repeat the melting process. Pour the melted white chocolate over the hardened semi-sweet layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  5. Now, melt the red, white, and blue candy melts in separate bowls using the microwave method. Stir each after 30 seconds until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the melted candy melts over the set white chocolate layer in a fun, festive pattern.
  7. While the candy melts are still soft, sprinkle your bark with red, white, and blue star sprinkles and M&Ms.
  8. Allow the entire tray to harden completely at room temperature for a couple of hours or in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  9. Once set, lift your chocolate bark from the tray using the edges of the parchment paper and cut into festive pieces.
