  • 1 lb Pork Sausage Use fully cooked sausage for best results.

  • 6 Eggs Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
  • 1 cup Whole Milk or Heavy Cream Can substitute with half-and-half.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
For Serving
  • 2 cups Fresh Fruits Berries or citrus work wonderfully.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Cook the pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Spread the thawed hashbrowns in the bottom of the greased baking dish, and then layer the cooked sausage on top.
  5. Sprinkle a generous layer of cheddar cheese over the sausage.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until golden brown on top.
  9. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
  10. Serve warm with fresh fruits or hot sauce.
