Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and position the oven rack in the top third.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the ground beef and chopped onions for 7 to 8 minutes.
- Once browned, mix in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Cook for an additional minute.
- Lower the heat and add sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, drained corn, and ½ cup of grated cheddar cheese. Stir together for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture into a 9x13 casserole dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, then arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped scallions before serving.
