  • 0.5 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust to your desired taste.
  • 0.5 cup Water Essential for the syrup.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Consider using vanilla bean paste for a richer flavor.
For the Mocktail
  • 0.5 cup Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice For classic lemonade taste.
  • 4-6 ounces Sparkling Water or Sprite Choose based on sweetness preference.

Method
 

Syrup Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of quartered strawberries, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and ½ cup of water over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves, then simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Mocktail Assembly
  1. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or jar, discarding the solids. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Fill serving glasses with ice.
  3. Pour 3 tablespoons of syrup and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice into each glass, stir gently.
  4. Top with 4-6 ounces of sparkling water or Sprite and gently stir again.
  5. Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice and serve immediately.
