Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix until just blended.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. Prepare the milk soak by whisking together evaporated milk, condensed milk, whole milk, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
  8. Poke holes in the cooled cake for the soak to penetrate.
  9. Pour the milk mixture over the cake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  10. Whip the cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  11. Spread the whipped cream over the cake and garnish with cherries and pineapple.
