  • 2 tablespoons honey adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 handful fresh basil chopped
For the Topping
  • 1 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pistachios
  • to taste balsamic glaze for drizzling
For the Strawberries
  • 12 pieces ripe strawberries washed and tops removed

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Thoroughly rinse the strawberries under cold water and pat them dry. Slice off the tops and hollow out the centers.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, honey, fresh lemon juice, and chopped basil. Blend until smooth.
  3. Fill each hollowed strawberry with the creamy filling using a spoon or piping bag.
  4. Chop the nuts and sprinkle over each filled strawberry.
  5. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top of the strawberries.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
