Mix the Sauce
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, buffalo sauce, rice vinegar, ground ginger, garlic powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until fully combined.
Cook the Beef
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once shimmering, add the extra lean ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until fully cooked.
Add the Sauce
- Pour the prepared sauce over the browned ground beef, stirring to evenly coat the meat. Allow to cook undisturbed for 60-90 seconds.
Serve it Up
- Once the sauce has thickened and coated the beef, remove from heat and serve over rice or mixed into noodles.
