Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated fresh ginger, toasted sesame oil, and black pepper.
  2. Submerge wooden skewers in a bowl of water for at least 15 minutes to prevent charring.
  3. Thread shrimp and pineapple chunks onto the skewers, alternating them and starting and ending with a pineapple piece.
  4. Brush the assembled skewers with the marinade and let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium heat (375-400°F) and lightly oil the grates.
  6. Grill the skewers for 3-4 minutes, then flip and grill for an additional 2-3 minutes. Brush with reserved marinade in the last minute.
