  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar reduce for lower sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon adjust to taste

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter or margarine
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar for glazing
  • 2 tablespoons Milk or dairy-free milk

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the large eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Cut your chosen bread into 1-inch squares. Toss the bread cubes in the egg mixture until fully soaked. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. In a small bowl, combine all-purpose flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with butter or cooking spray. Spoon the soaked bread mixture into the prepared dish and evenly sprinkle the topping over it.
  6. Bake for 50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set. Let cool slightly before glazing.
