  • 2 cups hashbrowns well-drained and patted dry
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup bacon crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
For Serving
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine well-drained hashbrowns, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly for about 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and a cohesive batter forms.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Using your hands, form the mixture into 1-2 inch balls and place them on lined baking sheets, spaced about an inch apart.
  3. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the Iowa Party Bites are golden brown and crispy.
  4. After 25 minutes, use a toothpick to test the doneness. If it comes out clean, they are ready. If not, return them to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving with ranch dressing or hot sauce.
