Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in flour, oats, baking soda, and salt until no dry patches remain.
  5. Fold in most chocolate chips, then transfer batter to prepared pan and top with reserved chips.
  6. Bake for 22–26 minutes until golden around edges.
  7. Cool the bars in the pan for 2 hours, then refrigerate for 30 minutes before cutting.
