Method
 

Preparing the Kafta
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef or lamb, grated onion, chopped parsley, and minced garlic. Add in spices like cumin and cayenne. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Take small portions of the mixture and form them into small logs or patties about 3 inches long and 1 inch thick. Press firmly to hold their shape.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Lightly oil the grates or drizzle oil in the skillet.
  4. Place the shaped kafta onto the hot grill or skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through.
