Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Soak the breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes until soft.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soaked breadcrumbs with ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and bake for 45-55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  5. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Butter one side of each slice of bread and grill until golden brown, adding cheese on top to melt.
  7. Assemble the sandwich with lettuce, meatloaf, and melted cheese between the grilled bread.
  8. Grill the assembled sandwich for another 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy.
