- In a medium bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, white miso paste, brown sugar, freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, and thinly sliced green onions. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well blended.
- Place the salmon fillets on a clean cutting board. Spread a generous layer of the miso butter over the top of each fillet. Let the salmon rest for about 10 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the salmon fillets in a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily. Optionally, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- For air fryer option, preheat to 400°F (200°C) and line the basket with parchment paper. Cook the salmon fillets for 9-10 minutes without flipping.
- Once cooked, drizzle remaining miso butter over the salmon. Garnish with additional green onions and sesame seeds.
