Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt cubed butter in a saucepan over low heat until half melted and half softened.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Cream together.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Using a cookie scoop, place dough on the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden around the edges.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
