- In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 cup of diced onions and sauté until they turn translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

- Pour in 4 cups of chicken broth and bring the mixture to a rapid boil.
- Add 12 ounces of penne or rotini pasta to the pot and cook according to package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of honey BBQ sauce until thoroughly combined.
- Incorporate 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Adjust seasoning by adding more salt, pepper, or honey BBQ sauce as needed. Stir in chopped parsley before serving.
