Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Dice ripe tomatoes, remove seeds and excess moisture. Combine with minced garlic, basil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice bread into ¾ inch thick pieces. Spread butter on one side of each slice. Toast in the oven on a baking sheet until golden brown (about 10 minutes).
  3. Rub the top of each toasted slice with a peeled garlic clove while still warm for additional flavor.
  4. Assemble bruschetta by piling the marinated tomato mixture generously on top of each slice, avoiding overloading.
  5. Garnish with additional fresh basil leaves before serving. Serve immediately for the best experience.
