Method
 

Preparation

  3. In another bowl, beat melted butter, eggs, coffee, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually add wet mixture to dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Divide batter among prepared pans and bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pans for 10 minutes then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  7. Assemble cake by layering with salted caramel sauce between layers.
  8. Frost the assembled cake with chocolate ganache, smoothing out for an elegant finish.
  9. Refrigerate for a few hours to allow ganache to set.
  10. Slice and serve, pairing with vanilla ice cream if desired.
