  2. Trim the ends of fresh green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then pat dry. Drain and rinse canned beans.
  3. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Crumble and reserve some grease.
  4. In the same skillet, add melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Stir over low heat until smooth and bubbly, about 3-4 minutes.
