  • 3 medium Tomatoes Chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic Grated or in paste form

  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil Ghee or unsalted butter recommended
  • 1 tablespoon Salt Adjust according to taste
  • 2 cups Warm Water For simmering

  • 1 tablespoon Chilli Powder To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 piece Cinnamon Stick Remove before serving
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaves Discard before plating
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds Toasted

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cut the beef into uniform chunks and marinate with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, and garam masala. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

  2. Heat cooking oil in a pot and sauté cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Add chopped onions to the pot and sauté for 5–7 minutes until golden brown. Stir in grated garlic and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.

  4. Mix in the chopped tomatoes and cook for 5–8 minutes until softened and caramelized.

  5. Add the marinated beef and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned. Pour in warm water to cover the beef and bring to a simmer.
