Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat steak dry and season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let rest for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3-4 minutes each side, adding butter and garlic the last minute.
  3. Remove steak from skillet, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  4. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente, around 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain pasta.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter, add sautéed garlic, then heavy cream. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes, stir in Parmesan until melted.
  6. Toss drained fettuccine in the creamy sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  7. Plate fettuccine, layer sliced steak on top, garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.
