  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, five-spice powder, garlic powder, ground ginger, white pepper, salt, and optional red food coloring until smooth.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over, ensuring even coating. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Arrange marinated chicken thighs on the baking sheet, ensuring space for airflow. Bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove chicken, brush with reserved marinade, and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
