Preparation Steps
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine ¼ cup oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger. Whisk until well blended and reserve about ¼ cup of the mixture.
- Place 1 pound of chicken in a large Ziploc bag or bowl. Pour marinade over chicken, ensuring well-coated. Seal and refrigerate for 2 to 8 hours.
- Remove chicken from refrigerator and drain from marinade. Pre-soak skewers in water for about 30 minutes if using wooden skewers. Thread chicken onto skewers, leaving space, and brush with canola oil. Season with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Preheat grill to medium heat, approx. 350°F (175°C).
- Place chicken skewers on grill and cook for about 10 minutes, flipping occasionally. Brush with reserved marinade during last 1-2 minutes of grilling.
- Remove from grill and let rest for about 5 minutes. Serve garnished with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
