Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the canola oil, letting it warm for about 1 minute.
  2. Crumble the lean ground beef into the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  3. Drain excess grease, then add taco seasoning and a small amount of water. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. In a large salad bowl, combine chopped lettuce, diced tomato, and sweet onion. Mix in hot chili beans and shredded cheddar.
  5. Add partly crushed Fritos and drizzle the Catalina dressing over the top. Toss until evenly coated.
  6. Arrange warm taco meat on top and garnish with jalapeños and sour cream if desired.
