Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, oregano, and cumin. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the seasoned chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and reach 165°F internal temperature.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter, onion, and bell peppers. Sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Pour in heavy cream, add Dijon mustard if using, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
